Meet the artist behind the designs

‍ ‍ Eleanor Elks Herrmannsen

Her story

Studio Etta was born from a simple idea - to create something truly personal for a child to grow up with and treasure.

Eleanor Elks Herrmannsen, an artist and designer with a background in sculpture from Glasgow School of Art, followed by a career in interior design is the founder. After the arrival of her daughter, and inspired by her own family heirlooms from when she was a child, Eleanor began creating meaningful artwork for her child’s nursery.

Each Studio Etta piece is a bespoke, hand drawn illustration, thoughtfully designed around a child’s name. Carefully chosen objects are woven into the artwork alongside their name, date of birth, creating a deeply personal piece - something to mark a moment in time and to be kept for years to come.

“From start to finish, working with Eleanor was pleasant and stress free. The finished product was beyond what we could have imagined.”
